by a powerful hurricane on Sunday, amid high winds and widespread flash flooding caused by more than two feet of rainfall across much of the island. Most of the grid remained offline Monday, and more torrential rain and flooding is expected as Hurricane Fiona slowly moves west across the island. The storm struck almost five years to the day after Category 4devastated the island, destroyed its power grid, did an estimated $90 billion of damage, and caused the deaths of nearly 3,000 people.
