He kept me secluded and pretty much under his thumb.
It’s like I’m looking at somebody else’s life. … I know it was me, but I’m still baffled by how he got me to twist my world so completely. And it was all for him. He used to say that Playboy did incredible things for these girls. And in some ways, yes, it gave us power over ourselves. But not really because behind the scenes, we were being manipulated and used for his pleasure, for other men’s pleasures up there. Behind the scenes, they were taking such gross advantage of these young girls.
