Say hello to the players who rang up big numbers all season in N.J.'s five football conferences

Players from 10 teams last week got a chance to enhance their season statistics in a game that had never been offered before in New Jersey - the NJSIAA/Rothman Orthopaedics public school football state finals at Rutgers’ SHI Stadium in Piscataway. So, if you were to compare last week’s conference standings with this final batch, you would find that players from Woodbury, Caldwell, Millville, Old Tappan, Toms River North and five other schools climbed a few spots on the tables below. This was hardly a gift, though. The squads that made their way to Rutgers got their with a tremendous amount of sacrifice and teamwork. They deserve every bit of additional recognition they can get.
Congratulations to every athlete on these lists and to each of their teammates who played a vital part in their accomplishments.
