Prior to Title IX, there was no protection for female athletes who were being denied opportunities in high schools and colleges.
“37 Words” is sectioned into four parts – the first two segments will air Tuesday and the final two on June 28. Parts 1 and Part 2 focus on athletic pioneers such as Billie Jean King and Ann Meyers Drysdale.
