The retired restaurateur was previously married for 43 years to his school sweetheart, Toni, who passed away suddenly in 2017 from a bacterial infection. In his primetime TV debut during‘s season 20 reunion show, Turner explained that his expectations are different this time around: “What I look for at the age of 70 is different from what I looked for in high school and college. I believe I’ll find my person — the new person that will make me whole again.
To celebrate the new series, ABC is staging golden takeovers in Los Angeles and New York. Today through Oct. 1, L.A. seniors can get Golden Hour discounts from 5 to 7 p.m. at iconic spots including Mel’s Drive-In on Sunset , and Randy’s Donuts and Pink’s Hot Dogs , which will also offer limited-edition treats, giveaways and photo ops. This weekend, Golden food trucks will be parked in L.A. and NYC.
