How will Invincible fight without Omni-Man around?

In an interview with IGN, Kirkman explained the difference that Omni-Man's absence will have on Invincible season 2. Mark Grayson's family will be forever changed, but life on Earth will never be the same. Without Omni-Man or the Guardians of the Globe, Invincible and his friends are the only defenders left. “I think we kind of hit the ground running with a lot of chaos. Mark and Debbie are dealing with a huge betrayal of Nolan and his absence on the planet is something that's affecting them deeply. Mark is in this place where he was on this trajectory to become this superhero, and everything seemed to be going really well. Now, he's been shaken to his core. Aside from the betrayal, he's also left with being the new last line of defense on Earth.
How Losing Omni-Man Will Change Invincible Season 2 Invincible season 1 was filled with failure and inexperience. A young and unseasoned Mark is forced to face off against multidimensional threats, otherworldly aliens, and even the enemies in his own home. He often struggles to take down his foes, but it hardly matters. When he falls, he can always rely on his father to come and save the day.
Invincible will be on his own for the first time in the upcoming season. He may have his mother and friends, but if the new Guardians of the Globe team fails, defending the world will be Mark's responsibility. If he fails, there will be no one standing behind him. The stakes are set to be higher than ever in Invincible season 2, and Omni-Man's absence is the primary cause.
