Davis Mills and Jeff Driskel describe how the concept can expand
Houston Texans quarterback Jeff Driskel runs around the end defended by Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs during the first half of an NFL football game Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, in Arlington.Texans quarterback Jeff Driskel campaigned for Houston’s struggling offense to deploy a dual quarterback system until offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton at last implemented a confounding game plan that nearly upset the Cowboys on Sunday.
“I kind of sent some clips of other teams doing some different stuff and the successes they’ve been having,” said Driskel, who rushed for 36 yards, passed for 38 more and threw a touchdown pass on Sunday. “But just to go out there and prove that it can work was big. Hopefully, it continues to grow, and hopefully, we continue to be efficient on offense if we’re doing that.”
