Exclusive: AntManandtheWaspQuantumania producer breaks down the larger MCU implications of the mid-credit scene: 'What that tag says to me, as far as the larger implications, is possibility.' 👀
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania producer Stephen Broussard explains the larger MCU implications of the mid-credit scene. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania officially introduces Kang the Conqueror into the MCU as the next major threat for the Avengers, with multiversal and time travel abilities. Two variants of Kang have been explored within the MCU, but the mid-credit scene sets the stage for the astronomical threat he presents with the introduction of The Council of Kangs.
Stephen Broussard: I think the biggest is spoilery territory. It’s that mid-credits tag. You've met versions of this character that Jonathan plays in Loki, you've seen him in the body [of] this film, and you see a little bit of tag at the end of where it's going. The torch has been passed. I would not presume to tell the movie that Destin should be making, but I know they're hard at work on that. And clearly, Kang is in the title of that. Expect the unexpected with Kang, which is what's exciting to me because of how varied each version has been. What The Council Of Kangs Means After Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Kang the Conqueror and He Who Remains demonstrated immense power, and they may have been the only ones holding back the real danger.
