Postdoctoral Associate
The position will involve research in the area of Neuroscience. Studies will investigate neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders. Research will involve the use of mouse models taking advantage of tools in anatomy, neuropathology, genetics, molecular biology, behavior, electrophysiology, and neuromodulation. The overall goal is to understand how brain circuits develop, function, and deteriorate in disease and to test therapeutic strategies to repair circuits.
Collects and curates data in Excel worksheets and carry out analysis using software, such as Prism and Matlab. Creates data presentations to be delivered locally, nationally, and internationally at lab meetings and conferences.Assists in preparing publications for submission to peer review journals.No experience required.The best candidates will have acquired a PhD in neuroscience or a related field such as neurobiology, genetics, and developmental biology.
