Houston Repertoire Ballet's"The Nutcracker" returns this year with live musical accompaniment from the Cypress Philharmonic.Houston Repertoire Ballet is back in full swing with live performances of “The Nutcracker” coming up next month at the Tomball High School theatre.
“It feels fantastic,” said Victoria Vittum, co-founder of HRB. “I just can't wait to be in the theater with the orchestra and the dancers. They're all prepared and ready to go and it's going to be really lovely to be back in the theater and full swing again.”Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.Collapse The company is also resuming an aspect of its outreach program, “The Nutcracker Experience,” through which students from Tomball, Decker Prairie and Rosehill elementaries have an opportunity to perform in shows seen by their classmates. The program treats all Tomball ISD third graders to three free school performances as part of the arts component of their curriculum.
The holiday season is in full effect with HRB celebrating its 27th season and its 24th annual “Nutcracker” performance.
