The University of Houston remained third in the latest Associated Press college basketball poll released Monday.
UH is No. 3 for the second consecutive week. In their lone game last week, the Cougars routed McNeese 83-44 in their final nonconference game of the regular season. The Cougars begin their final run through the American Athletic Conference beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Tulsa. Purdue remained No. 1 for the third straight week while Connecticut was second for the second consecutive week. Houston, Kansas and Arizona rounded out the top five.Houston is also third in the USA Today coaches poll, with the same top five as the AP rankings. Texas is sixth in the coaches poll, Baylor is 13th and TCU is 19th.
