For the duration of its existence, the selective liberal arts school in Madison County has been regarded as one of the country’s elite academic institutions.
This will mark Colgate’s fourth straight appearance in the NCAA tournament. It’s been both the Patriot League’s regular-season and tournament champion in four of the past five seasons. The only thing missing from his résumé is an NCAA Tournament win. Colgate is 0-5 in the Big Dance, including 0-3 during Langel’s tenure. The 14th-seeded Raiders had No. 3 seed Wisconsin on the ropes last year, leading by two with 10 minutes remaining before falling 67-60.
