Most parts of the country will have fair weather except in some areas in Visayas and Mindanao where occasional downpours and thunderstorms may be experienced especially during late afternoon and at night, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
'So it will be hot and humid in most parts of the country in the coming days especially in Luzon including Metro Manila,' weather specialist Obet Badrina said.'As our usual reminder during this warm-dry season, the public must limit outdoor activities unless necessary especially during noontime and early afternoon when heat is most intense and keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water,' he added.
The weather agency said the easterlies – winds coming from the Pacific Ocean that bring warm and humid temperature – and localized thunderstorms are affecting Metro Manila and the rest of the country where partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be likely. Badrina told The Manila Times that there was a slim chance that a weather disturbance may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility this month.
