Hortaleza Corp. plans to re-enter the personal care industry next year, marking the conclusion of a non-compete clause, five years

Prime Global Corp. , a subsidiary of Hortaleza Corp., is looking at bridging the gaps within the personal care industry through the launch of innovative products.

“There’s substantial potential for us …especially going back to personal care in 2024, now that our non-compete agreement with Wipro has concluded,” PGC president Alexone Hortaleza said. “Starting next year, we plan to launch innovative products that will address the gaps we see in the market,” he said.“At the end of the day, the Hortaleza name carries significant brand equity in the personal care industry, while HBC is known for its expertise in beauty and cosmetics. It would be a waste not to leverage on it,” he said.

Meanwhile, PGC is expanding its food manufacturing operations by investing in a P600-million plant in Bulacan, set to be completed by June 2024. The food business accounts for 75 percent of the company’s revenues.
