Senator Risa Hontiveros on Monday again urged suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo to face the allegations against her at the Senate, noting that in her recent Facebook post, Guo insisted she is a Filipino and called for a halt to the spread of false information about her."Mayor Alice Guo o Guo Hua Ping, kung nakakapag-Facebook ka. Siguro naman kaya mo nang humarap sa Senado. Ginamit mo pa ang Facebook para sa pagpapakalat ng fake news na Pilipino kayo.
In her presentation, Hontiveros, citing information from the Anti-Money Laundering Council, said Guo's company, Baofu, had direct transactions with the joint account of a Chinese citizen who is an incorporator of Hong Sheng-- the raided POGO firm in Bamban-- and former Presidential Adviser Michael Yang's brother.The Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality is investigating Guo's supposed involvement in the raided illegal POGO hub in Bamban.
