An armed homeowner in a Seattle suburb warded off a burglary attempt early Thursday by firing multiple rounds through the door that the thieves were trying to kick down, police said.
said the incident took place at about 2 a.m. Thursday when three masked, gun-toting suspects walked onto the victim’s patio and announced themselves as “Seattle Police.”
Home surveillance footage shared by authorities then showed the three suspects kicking and shouldering the door in an attempt to break in.Around 2 a.m., the Auburn Police Department was dispatched to the 31000 block of 117 PL SE for a report of a non-injury shooting.The suspects quickly fled the area after coming under fire. No one was injured during the shooting.
