Hoda Kotb shares why she split from ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman as she opens herself up to romance again
“This person, who’s a lovely human being, has a lot of things that are being worked out. … I think what I’m looking for more kind of just simplicity,” the “Today” show co-anchor explained in Tuesday’s episode ofKotb, 60, admitted she used to struggle with being the “fixer in life” where she would help everyone, but she is trying to do less of that.
“Sometimes you’re like, ‘You know what? Let’s just pause that instinct because that is my instinct. I’ll help. I’ll make it better. What do you need? How can we do it?'” she acknowledged. “ all good. He’s very cute, by the way, extremely handsome. I’ll show you a picture after, but tabled for now,” she shared on the podcast.Kotb, pictured here in Paris in July, clarified that she “tabled” the relationship and has no “funky” feelings toward her ex.“I think I’m into the addition process — someone who’s adding and not subtracting.
