The Yuletide Tour of Historic Salem featured more than 25 homes and sites.
NEW!People looking to learn a bit about South Jersey history or just take in the sights of beautifully decorated historic homes flocked to Salem City Saturday for the 35th Annual Salem Yuletide Tour Saturday.
Among the historic homes on the tour were the Richard Johnson House , the James Barrett House , the House of Ten Gables , and the Matlack House . Originally built in 1738, the Richard Woodnutt House underwent renovations in the 1800s and doubled in size, and now consists of three floors and 15 rooms. Currently owned by Chris Hofacker and Sebastian Wawrzyniak, there is also a two-room gardener’s cabin in the back yard, which was built in 1800.
