Rain chances are falling this week, but temperatures are rising. As highs reach the 90s, the humidity will make things feel hotter.
Even though the first official day of summer is still more than six weeks away, South Texans are about to get a preview of the summer heat this week. While actual temperatures are not expected to reach the triple digits in San Antonio , the humidity will be brutal, making temps feel like 100 degrees outside. Here’s a look at what to expect, day-by-day this week. Monday: One of the “cooler” days of the week is expected on Monday, but conditions will still be very warm, muggy, and uncomfortable.
Morning low temperatures in the mid-70s will heat up to the low to mid-90s by the afternoon. San Antonio will likely top out at 93 to 94 degrees, and heat index values are expected to be at 99 to 102 degrees. Temperatures will be even hotter as you move south and west of San Antonio. Near the Texas-Mexico border, several areas will experience actual temperatures in the triple digits. This includes Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Laredo. Some spots could even get up to 105 degrees.
