MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-Australian guard Jordan Heading is eyeing for no less than redemption for the Philippines when Strong Group Athletics represents the country in the coming William Jones Cup this July.
The 6-foot-2 Heading was part of the star-studded squad SGA side led by former NBA champion Dwight Howard, Andray Blatche and Andre Roberson, that bowed to eventual back-to-back champion Al Riyadi in the Dubai International Basketball Championship last January.
The other player is former Alab Pilipinas forward Caelen Tiongson.'We're excited to have Jordan as I enjoyed coaching him in Dubai,' said Tiu, one of Strong Group's solid marksmen. 'Now we will have more time to prepare and he can slide back to his natural position.'The sharpshooting guard averaged 10.3 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.6 rebounds in the Dubai tournament.
