The Harry Potter remake will be a book-faithful adaptation, which means the small, cozy moments at Hogwarts Castle can finally make it to the screen.
HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV remake will have the perfect opportunity to restore some of the books' best moments at Hogwarts Castle. Though the movies are deeply loved by the fandom, there are several elements of J.K. Rowling's books that there simply wasn't time to include. For the most part, the moments the films cut weren't critical to the plot of Harry's story.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The seven Harry Potter books contain 1,084,170 words, so there was no possible way that the Boy Who Lived's entire story would fit into eight films. This means that the movies contain far less information than was included in the canon story—from the way Harry defeated Voldemort to the reason they become rivals to begin with.
The Harry Potter Remake Can Bring Back The ‘Daily Life’ Moments At Hogwarts The Harry Potter books are loved for the intriguing mystery and many-layered plot—but it was the scenes that depicted the day-to-day life at Hogwarts that made the series something magical. Book scenes described Harry, Ron, and Hermione working on homework in the Gryffindor common room, enjoying their meals in the Great Hall, or having snowball fights in the courtyard.
These were the moments that made the Harry Potter fandom desire so strongly to attend Hogwarts themselves. However, with such limited time to include even the essential details of the plot, the movies were forced to cut a majority of the 'daily life' of Hogwarts. This can all change in HBO's Harry Potter reboot. Warner Bros teased that the series will have 10 seasons of book-faithful content, so there will be hours upon hours to include the comfier aspects of the Hogwarts experience.
Since the Harry Potter remake won't want to throw out the original Hogwarts set design , it would make sense for the series to adopt the Hogwarts Legacy design instead. Modern technology would make this far more doable, and with a longer series, more room to explore would be a benefit. Harry, Ron, and Hermione would be welcomed into the massive castle described in the Harry Potter books—with lots of room to explore, have adventures, or just experience the day-to-day magic of Hogwarts.
