The next Marvel series hits Disney+ on Nov. 24
Steinfeld is having an absolutely wild month unlike anything the streaming industry has ever seen. She’s returned to lead the final season of Dickinson on Apple Plus, a role she’s already been highly praised for, and season 3 has a perfect score from critics.the lead in Arcane, the animated Netflix series based on League of Legends, where she voices Vi. Again,highest viewer scores any Netflix show has ever had.
Now there’s Hawkeye, which by all accounts she shines in, and her Kate Bishop suddenly feels like she’s going to be a key part of this entire next phase of the MCU. Hawkeye was pitched as a limited series, but it seemsunlikely that this is all we’re going to get from Kate Bishop, as she will no doubt be a key part of the new/young Avengers the MCU is currently assembling.... [+]Steinfeld first broke onto the scene with True Grit, for which she snagged an Oscar nomination at only 14 years old.
In short, there are few better young actresses to give a key role in the MCU to, and no matter what happens with Hawkeye as a show, whether it lasts only one season or not, it’s clear that Kate Bishop herself is going to be sticking around for a while. Whether that’s only on Disney Plus, or she makes a leap to the larger screen, that’s unclear.
I can’t wait to see both her and Renner in Hawkeye, and I’m also hearing the intro to the series is one of the best things to come out of the MCU, whatever that means. Stay tuned.
