In addition to the consecutive life sentences, Judge William Tully sentenced Greene to 21½ to 45 years in state prison. Greene shot and killed Tyler Thames, Meredith’s boyfriend and the father of her children, when he climbed to the third floor., but he was out of bullets. Instead, he stabbed her in the neck and shoulder and threw her down the stairs. He also stabbed his 6-year-old niece in the neck.
Police captured Greene after he crashed into a school bus. Prosecutors said he had his nieces’ blood on him when he was taken into custody.
