, fans have not heard new music from the Los Angeles band since the release of their sophomore albumarrived four years after their breakout debut album and new material previewed at the downtown Los Angeles show gives hope that fans won’t have to wait as long for its follow up.
The Wednesday night show that took place days before the band plays their only other scheduled appearance for the year at Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival on Friday . The show was announced on Haim’s social media on Monday with tickets on sale the following morning for the 600-capacity club. “We put this shit together in a matter of days and you all showed up,” Alana Haim said to their hometown crowd.On a Wednesday night and without an opener, Haim had a typically stoic Los Angeles crowd bouncing to their hits from their debut album including “Falling,” “Don’t Save Me” and “Go Slow.
