The San Antonio-based grocer is recalling the brownies and a party tray because they may contain metal fragments.The San Antonio-based grocerit was recalling H-E-B Bakery Two Bite Brownies and H-E-B Simply Delicious Cookies with Brownie Bites Party Trays.
It decided to issue the recall after investigating two customer complaints, according to the release. It did not reveal the type or source of the metal, nor the timing or content of the complaints. The brownies and the party trays containing the brownies “were manufactured by an outside supplier and distributed only to H-E-B and Joe V’s Smart Shop stores in Texas and Mexico,” the release stated.
Both products have been removed from shelves. Customers who purchased either product are encouraged to return them for a full refund. H-E-B said it would bring back the brownies once it confirms that they might its safety and quality standards.
