The King of Flavortown opened up Tuesday about being falsely accused of hitting and killing a man while attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas at the age of 19.and revealed the true details of what happened during the crash.
“This guy saw a cop and he was drinking. We were camping half a mile away. And he took off and we got chased and the car flipped and the guy next to me was killed. It was horrific,”,” explained the “Guy’s Grocery Games” host. “Everybody was messed up. And I did go Flight for Life in the helicopter and the whole thing.”
The Emmy award-winner told Shields that he was then arrested by Nevada police in his dorm room which forced his parents to hire a lawyer.
