Criminal charges for illegal possession of firearms and explosives were earlier filed by the PNP against Teves’ secretary and five others who were arrested during a series of raids on the lawmaker’s residential properties in the Negros Oriental. /PDI

“We’re just looking for persons of interest,” said Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla. “We’re just waiting for some things to happen. But we will have a more complete picture by the end of the week as there are more questions being answered right now.”

Meanwhile, Remulla said the Degamo family has sought the replacement of all prosecutors assigned in the province. Aside from the criminal charges against Teves, the House of Representatives’ ethics and privileges panel began its probe on Teves’ absence without official leave and continued stay in the United States with an expired travel authority.
