In the letter, Kerr explains: “When I went through my architecture training in the 1940s, in the Glasgow School of Architecture, we as students were full of Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and the Modern Movement. I guess the house on Copland Crescent was my Miesian Period.” A tour of this magnificent home reveals Kerr’s adherence to the design principles of the Modern Movement. The home is cube-shaped with a glass front. The 20-foot-high floor-to-ceiling living room windows capture views of the park across the street and fill the home with natural light. “Interaction with light is another characteristic of this style of architecture,” says Deason.

The ensuite bath in particular stands out for its glossy black tile walls, complemented by a gold-flecked pink laminate vanity. “It’s a little bit Hollywood,” says Deason.
