She will be playing Nora, a childhood friend of Owen and Megan. She comes to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital after some dangerous complications following a routine operation at another hospital.
1 Most of Owen’s backstory thus far has focused on his time as a trauma surgeon in the military. However, Nora is someone who knew him even before that, which can introduce a whole new backstory that hasn’t been revealed yet in Grey’s Anatomy. It will be interesting to see how they interact and how close they are, as they are far removed from childhood. Owen is a very passionate, and sometimes impulsive, surgeon, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he took Nora’s case into his own hands.
