Not only was Trillo proud of his son but he’s overcome one worry in the Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup—a 100-81 quarterfinals win for a two-game of the Bolts’ series with the NLEX Road Warriors on Sunday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. “That win was very pivotal because if we lost that one, we could have ended up facing the top two teams—San Miguel Beer or Ginebra—with twice-to-beat bonus in the quarterfinals,” Trillo said.
Next up for the Bolts are the Gin Kings in a best-of-seven semifinal series starting Friday and Trillo knows he’s got a lot of homework to do.
