.gracepotter and Lucius (ilovelucius) channel '70s girl groups in 'Back to Me' video:

Across these four tracks, Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius help Potter achieve a hodgepodge of different sounds—roots, Americana, adult contemporary—and on “Back To Me,” the three adopt a sort of Ronettes-via-country doo-wop. Their new George Mays-directed music video for the track embellishes the track’s gospel power vocals with glitzy, colorful ‘70s aesthetics.
It’s a stylish video, with lots of glitter, fringe and some dorky dancing. If you wanted a point of reference, it’s a bit close to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” visual from ‘76. But where ABBA feel the beat from the tambourine, “Back To Me” throbs with keyboard and brass taken from the books of Motown. It’s soul train, y’all. It’s cute, and the mustard-colored velour jumpsuit Potter dons is a certified pop-rock fashion moment.
