Grab Philippines said it is in talks with the Department of Transportation for the opening of temporary transportation network vehicle
Grab Philippines country manager Grace Vera Cruz said the ride-hailing app was working with the government since July for temporary TNVS slots or a “holiday fleet for Christmas” to avoid the shortage in the number of driver-partners on the road like what happened last year.
Grab said that in December 2022 only one of two passengers was able to book a GrabCar during the holidays. “So, Im’ hoping we have a solution within the next three to four weeks. Hopefully before November,” Vera Cruz said. “We are expecting a log of inbound traffic … I feel we need at least 10,000 to 20,000 more. We really want to deliver a very good customer experience,” she said.
