As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues, Governor Mike Dunleavy held a press conference on Tuesday, March 8 discussing Alaska’s response to the situation.
Dunleavy directed state agencies to divest from Russia, and called on Alaskan businesses to do the same.
The governor also asked the state legislature to approve an expedited Permanent Fund Dividend process this year.Dunleavy further called on the Biden administration to make it easier to extract resources from Alaska to counter the rising cost of gas.
