His remarks about exploring strategic alternative were later echoed by Cohen and Goldman's president and chief operating officer, John Waldron. The executives made the remarks at Goldman Sachs' closely watched investor day at its Manhattan headquarters, a day full of presentations and food intended to increase financial transparency with shareholders.
