Although we feel surrounded by civilization, there are still huge swaths of the planet that are inaccessible to normal vehicles. And sometimes, we need to get a lot of people into those places. That’s where the Torsus Praetorian comes in.
Torsus was founded by the people behind Pulsar Expo, a family business from Ukraine that specializes in customizing vehicles for special purposes. Exposed toand forestry industries, they realized that there was a need for off-road vehicles that could transport a lot of people to a place without roads. And thus the Praetorian was born.
Based on a MAN four-wheel-drive truck chassis, the Praetorian has a bus-shaped spaceframe on top of it. In this configuration, it seats 34, but the interior can be optimized to make it an ambulance or a mobile workshop, for example. Underneath, there’s heavy-duty MAN equipment that makes it easy to fix if you find a section of trail that was slightly more off-road than intended. The body panels, meanwhile, are made of durable plastic and are easy to replace.
