The Venus Simply3 disposable comes in three colors — pink, purple, and yellow — and the recall is for two types of packaging: a Venus Simply3 Disposable Razor four-pack and a Daisy 12+1 Venus Simply3 Bonus Pack, which also included one additional Venus Simply3 razor.
The recall impacts Venus Simply3 four-pack razors that have lot numbers 9003A17400 and 9007A17400 and the UPC code 047400315358, and Daisy 12 + 1 Venus Simply3 razors with lot number 9009A17400 and UPC code 047400300712. You can find the lot numbers on the right or left side of the plastic package, and the UPC code can be found inside the package adjacent to the bar code.
According to the recall, the misaligned blades could cause an increased risk of cuts during shaving; one customer had already reportedly experienced this. The razors retailed for between $6 and $10 and were sold from January 2019 through May 2019. For those who did purchase the razor, Gillette is warning against continued use.
