Our Giants vs. Panthers prop bets include picks for Saquon Barkley, Daniel Jones, and Christian McCaffrey.
With a well-below-average career 3.6 touchdown pass percentage, Jones certainly isn’t a good bet to toss many scoring passes. But Big Blue’s fourth-year quarterback is an overlooked running threat with 1,025 career rushing yards and five TDs in 39 games.
He carried six times for 25 yards against Tennessee, and with Carolina likely to load up to stop Barkley in close, don’t be surprised if Jones takes advantage and runs one in himself. In fact, we’ll bet on it at the plus payoff. The Giants are favored by 1.5 but we can bump the line up to -2.5 to get slightly better odds and still stay under the always-crucial three points. As for the total, we can only look toward the under.
Since the start of the 2020 season, Jones and the Giants have been the league’s top under team with a whopping 75 percent of their contests failing to top the total. No other team is even a 62 percent under squad during that span. Carolina moved at a snail’s pace a week ago and on the road in what will be a raucous MetLife Stadium, it’s hard to see the Panthers moving up and down the field with any speed.
