Perrigo Company recalled Gerber Good Start SootheProTM powdered formula that was produced from Jan. 2 to Jan. 18, 2023.
has recalled a limited batch of its Gerber Good Start SootheProTM infant formula because of the “potential presence of Cronobacter sakazakii.”
Cronobacter is a bacteria that in most people causes no symptoms but in “some, particularly premature infants, infants under 2 months of age or infants with weakened immune systems fever, poor feeding, excessive crying or low energy as well as other serious symptoms can occur.”, that none of the powdered infant formula distributed has tested positive for the bacteria nd no “adverse events have been reported.
