Police in Georgia are desperately searching for a 2-year-old boy whose father claims he was abducted at gunpoint.
J’Asiah Deon Mitchell, 2, was kidnapped early Thursday in Panthersville, the DeKalb Police Department said in a statement to The Post.
Authorities are questioning J’Asiah’s father to get a better understanding of the situation, she claimed.Asia Mitchell pleaded for her son’s life on the news Thursday.“I’ve been up crying, worrying. I’ve been praying,” she said.Facebook / Asia MitchellAs of Thursday afternoon, however, police have not released a name or description of the possible abductor.
“We are still actively working through the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping,” the DeKalb police told The Post, noting the Homicide Assault Unit is identifying possible witnesses.“Our priority is locating J’Asiah safely while we continue to investigate the matter.” The department was advised by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation that the case did not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert, the statement noted.
