Nvidia's upgraded cloud gaming service finally turns Macs into AAA gaming machines
A GeForce Now Ultimate subscription. It costs $19.99 per month in the U.S. and Nvidia is in the process of rolling it out across Europe, too. There is a cheaper Priority tier, but this tops out at Full HD resolution at 60 frames per second, which means you won’t take full advantage of the resolution on your Mac’s screen. That said, Full HD is plenty good enough for gaming on devices such as the MacBook Air with smaller screens.

This, for example, allows you to change the viewing distance or the graphical quality in the game itself. I tend to find Nvidia’s automatic settings are a little modest, and you can eke out better quality graphics by taking control of these yourself.
– Unlike Microsoft’s Game Pass, GeForce Now doesn’t include games in the price. Instead, you connect your Steam, Epic Games or Ubisoft accounts and play the games you’ve already acquired through those stores. It’s worth signing up for all these stores, even if you’ve not previously bought games from them, because they often give away free games that you can add to your library.
