The Galveston Historical Foundation's annual historic homes tour mixes architecture with island history. It runs the first two weekends in May.

The former bank building, that is being restored as a residence, will be on the Galveston Historical Foundation's annual historic homes tour.Several of the homes are examples of Victorian architecture; they range from grand manses to small cottages and tenant houses. One even began its life as a corner grocery store but has since been turned into a residence.
Jhonny Langer, a Galveston paint conservator known for his ability to identify layers of paint on single walls and for restoring the architectural features within many historic buildings, said the bank building was constructed at a time when people were building grand houses and commercial buildings and did whatever was necessary to make things beautiful.
Chicago architects Weary & Alford, considered premier designers of banks in the 1920s, designed the building for William L. Moody. Moody founded the bank in 1907 and moved into the new location when it was finished in 1920. The name of the bank changed to Moody National Bank in 1953, though"City National Bank" remains part of the older bank building's exterior façade today.
More recently, Ross Moody was trying to restore and rehab the building for residential use and event space, but in 2020 he gifted the building and its rehab project to the historical foundation.
