His remarks came as he thanked the service members who laid down their lives in defense of the state and the country and every American's right to life, liberty, and happiness.
He was joined by Rep. Blake Moore, who worked as a civilian foreign service officer for U.S. intelligence before becoming a U.S. congressman representing Utah's First District in the House.Moore recalled his time serving alongside the men and women in the U.S. military and became emotional while recalling his father's pride over the Utah Republican's decision to serve the nation in some capacity.
