The district —which includes students from Bedford, Bedford Heights, Oakwood and Walton Hills— hopes the program will help with better focus and learning in the classroom, while ensuring that no child will go hungry or feel different based on their ability to pay for school meals, according to a press release.
The release added that families may also qualify for free health care coverage through Medicaid or Ohio’s Healthy Start & Healthy Families programs. These programs offer comprehensive coverage including doctor visits, immunizations, physicals, prescriptions, dental, vision, mental health, and substance abuse services.
