Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, representing the Philippines as chair of the UN Tourism Commission for East Asia and the Pacific, attends the 3rd World Tourism Industry Conference and Business Luncheon on May 9, 2024 in Seoul, South Korea as one of the guest speakers. The global forum coincided with the opening day of the Seoul International Travel Fair 2024 from May 9 to May 12, 2024.
Frasco addressed industry leaders, stressing Asia Pacific’s diverse culinary scene and its ability to attract tourists worldwide. The Philippines recognizes the power of food tourism which was also mentioned in the National Tourism Development Plan .
