Fox News analyst Juan Williams has called out Donald Trump for the lack of action at the southern border.In a recent segment, Williams questioned why Trump had scuttled the $118 billion bipartisan border security and foreign aid bill earlier this year.If Trump 'really cared about this issue, why did he block legislation that would have provided more border agents, more asylum judges, allowed the president the power to shut down the border when there was chaos or a surge?' Williams said.
The bill included $20 billion for improvements in border security as well as $60 billion in aid for Ukraine and $14 billion in aid for Israel.Congressional Republicans killed the bill after Trump attacked it and urged them to reject it.Trump has taken credit for tanking the legislation.And Biden has been clear he will use it against Trump in the 2024 campaign.
