Continued investigation lead to Edgar Lyle Kakakaway being charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder. The 41-year-old man was arrested on Nov. 29, 2022. In a release Tuesday, RCMP say that further suspects have been identified and arrested. On April 19, RCMP investigators arrested 21-year-old Telesphore Wapash and charged her with accessory after the fact to murder.Article content

Finally, on April 20, investigators arrested 44-year-old Calgary woman Sarah Kakakaway and charged her with accessory after the fact to murder. All four have appeared in court since their arrests, with Wapash and Sarah Kakakaway making their first appearances in Yorkton provincial court on April 20 and 21, respectively.
