Four major political parties in Metro Cebu and Cebu Province have signed a “cooperation agreement” to unify behind a common political goal for the May 2025 midterm elections.The Kugi Uswag Sugbo Party led by Acting Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia, the Alayon-Nacionalista Party under Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas and the Kaabag Party headed by Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan signed a cooperation agreement with the One Cebu Party, currently led by Gov.
Cynthia “Cindi” King Chan* Ako Bisaya Party-list — Incumbent Congressman Sonny LagonKusug-PanaghiusaActing Mayor Garcia told reporters during the convention that Kusug and Panaghiusa will merge for next year’s elections.Garca said they have yet to complete their slate but said they will announce the lineup soon. “We are just talking about the finer details,” the acting mayor said.Garcia has been pushed by his fellow partymates to run as mayor.
