Janet Weiss announced that she's been forced to cancel her upcoming tour after getting injured in a serious car accident.
Former drummer Janet Weiss announced on Wednesday morning that she's been forced to cancel the upcoming tour by her band Quasi after getting injured in a serious car accident. "Hey friends I have some bad news," she tweeted. "I was involved in a scary car accident last weekend in which my right leg and left collar bone were broken."
As a result, her doctors have recommended 12 weeks of recovery time, which means that the tour slated to kick off on Oct. 7 at the Sunset Tavern in Seattle, as well as the Quasi Border Benefit for immigrant rights that was booked for Aug. 26 at Mississippi Studios in Portland are off the books for now. "As thoroughly bummed as I am about canceling the shows, I'm also incredibly thankful the accident wasn't worse and so happy to be alive!" she wrote.
