Left-hander Sean Manaea is signing a two-year, $25 million deal with the San Francisco Giants, according to multiple reports.
Nick Martinez opted out of his original deal but signed a new contract to return to the Padres as a fourth starter. Adrián Morejón could also get another look as a starting pitcher after returning from Tommy John last year as a reliever. Right-hander Chris Bassitt signed a three-year, $63 million deal with the Blue Jays on Monday, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, leaving Carlos Rodon as the biggest fish left on the market.
