Howard Redmond admitted he repeatedly impeded a New York City Department of Investigation probe into allegations de Blasio misused his security detail.Department of Investigation report says Mayor de Blasio misused his security detail as"concierge service"Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in a statement,"Inspector Redmond engaged in a clear and brazen pattern of obstruction and tampering throughout the entirety of DOI's investigation.
As part of the plea, Redmond was fired from the NYPD, sentenced to a conditional discharge and ordered to serve 10 days of community services.
